About us

Hi, my name is Dave, I have been trained with MCEA (Motor Caravan Engineers Association) Together with my son Matthew we cover most of East Sussex, sometimes further afield, please get in touch with us with your requirements.

What started as a hobby has grown by numbers, and many repeat customers, leave us fantastic reviews.

We are based in Herstmonceux and have been caravanners for 20 years plus ourselves.

We carry out servicing/repairs, alde fluid change, Motor mover fitting/sale, solar panels, Gas tests, Towing Service etc.

Why do I need a service?

The number one reason to get your caravan serviced is for safety. If certain parts degrade over time, it can lead to gas leaks, fire hazards from electrical faults, or even the brakes and chassis failing while you’re towing

A Habitation service is crucial for motorhomes and caravans because it thoroughly inspects the living area, ensuring safety by identifying potential issues like gas leaks, electrical faults, water damage, or poor ventilation early on, preventing them from becoming major problems.

Why/When does my Alde fluid need changing?

Generally speaking, if the antifreeze colour in the expansion tank is BLUE or GREEN then this should be changed every two years. If it’s a PINK (magenta) colour then it’s every five years.

Yes, we supply a range of motor movers to suit your needs & budget.

From UK market leaders Powrtouch to other well-known manufacturers i.e Reich Easy Driver, & Purple-line.

Why would I need a motor mover?

Not only does a motor mover make it easier to park on a variety of terrains and inclines, but it’s also great for maneuvering into tight storage spaces.

There are many reasons for installing a mover, these could include:

Difficult storage location (narrow or steep)
Ease of pitching on-site
Personal Mobility
Not confident at reversing a trailer
Trailers and caravans can be difficult to manoeuvre when on grass or gravel

It will allow you to manoeuvere your caravan via remote control, minimizing the need for complex car reversing which in turn would reduce the stress on your vehicle’s clutch.

Why should I install solar panels?

Installing solar panels on your caravan to generate electricity from sunlight, allowing you to power appliances and lighting within your caravan, particularly when you are off-grid or in locations without readily available electrical hookups, essentially providing a self-sufficient power source while traveling and keeping your leisure battery charged even when parked for extended periods; this also reduces reliance on the mains grid and minimizes your carbon footprint.
